Break
I am taking some time off from the blog and developing my portfolio site. Family circumstances are requiring the majority of my energy at the moment. The site should be finished by the end of August 2008 and hopefully I will be able to start blog entries again in a month or so.
I was excited to find this video. There are a couple of similarities with my own work. The video uses technology to create temporary tattoos on the body. The tattoos are patterns created in reaction to an embrace between a couple. Patterns of emotion, physical sensations and relationships between the body/person and its surroundings.

Constantly Liminal
For my last final I put together a 52 page book of family photos. The sequencing tracks the closeness in my family. The identities of the subjects become interchangeable. Aunts become mothers, siblings become cousins. I am recognizing similarities between my family and tribal societies. I completed the book after working 15 hours straight. The […]
