Constantly Liminal
For my last final I put together a 52 page book of family photos. The sequencing tracks the closeness in my family. The identities of the subjects become interchangeable. Aunts become mothers, siblings become cousins. I am recognizing similarities between my family and tribal societies. I completed the book after working 15 hours straight. The photographs of my family are comforting me while I’m alone in Baltimore and things at home are falling apart. Eventually I will include some of the sequencing online, but for now here are more favorites. I am taking these pictures and making them my own.
Old Pow Wow
Sorry I haven’t been uploading more. I have been busy writing a proposal for a travel scholarship to go to Oaxaca, Mexico. I have two more finals left and need to hang work for the Senior Show. Then I’m done.
This is my Mom and Aunt at a Pow Wow. Great photo even with the blown out whites.
I need to stop acting like school is already over. Wish me luck.
Questioning Boundaries
What can’t I do to my body?
